Do anyone of you love or hate your baby swing? Why? What is the brand and model? I am looking to get a baby swing for Jonny. (Elizabeth LOVED hers, and then a certain 2 1/2 year old boy sat in it and broke it, so we need a new one). I did research on-line last night until I was cross eyed and still don't know what I want. I'm not wanting a top of the line one with all the bells and whistles, just a safe, reliable swing that works and lasts and doesn't go through batteries too fast (I'm considering a plug in one, but some people say they don't have much power.)
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

my kids LIVED in their swing. I do not know what I would have done without it. I got mine as a baby shower gift. It takes 4 batteries but it has a sensor for when they start crying to start swinging. LOVE IT! I have no idea how much it was...so I don't know if that was very helpful.
None of my babies liked the swing. They liked the bouncy chair better.
My kids liked the bouncy chair better too. Plus they take up way less room and are a lot more portable.
My girls LOVED the side to side swing! With our oldest we had the front to back swing and he didn't like it. I don't know what i would have done without my side to side swing though...it was a lifesaver for sure. Check Craigslist...perhaps you can find a good used one on there. I say get one..that goes side to side. Good luck!
yikes....my swing has been boxed up for the past 3 years and is up on the rafters in the garage. i seriously don't remember the brand or model....but....it is green. i remember that. sorry, i can't be of more help.
My cradle swing is the best baby thing we ever purchased. Even my fussy nephew who was here this week and hates his regular swing at home loved the cradle swing. Well worth the investment.
With Brennen my mom bought me the Fisher Price baby papsan swing and it is AMAZING! It is definitely pricey, but knowing how I feel about it now, I would probably still buy it. It plugs in or takes batteries. The plug in has plenty of power and is so much nicer than changing batteries. It is also nice because they can swing forward/back or side to side. I LOVE IT!
I used the Fisher Price portable swing. I would take it everywhere. Folds up small. Easy to put in a closet so it's not out all the time. There are lifts and music too. Not too expensive. I would look at a second hand store for a swing. Once upon a child is a great store
Lights, not lifts! ;)
The swing I had with Averi was great. I bought it off of craigslist, but it was practically brand new. It's a Fisher-Price Take-Along swing (Seen Here) It uses 4 DD batteries, and I think I only changed them once or twice, and Averi was in that swing a lot 'cause she never stopped crying.
It's just sitting in my basement right now, you're welcome to borrow it if you'd like to try it out!
